Michael Doherty, Tyrcallen, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Michael Doherty, Tyrcallen, Stranorlar, (F93 WO30). Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and staff at Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Catherine, much loved husband of Rose Anne and cherished brother of Patsy (Birmingham). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, brother, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his late residence on Tuesday, October 3 from 11am. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, October 5 at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment afterwards in Stranorlar Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam at: https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Liam Doogan, Ard Colmcille, Letterkenny

The sudden death has taken place of Liam Doogan in hospital in England formerly of Ard Colmcille, Letterkenny, predeceased by his parents Colm and Susan (née McTeague). Deeply regretted by his loving wife Eleanor, daughter Rhiannon, son-in-law Edward, sister Sandra, brother Colm and his two nieces Niamh and Eimear.

Marian Caldwell, (née Diver), 19 Connolly Homes, Malin Town

The death has taken place at her home of Marian Caldwell (née Diver) of 19 Connolly Homes, Malin Town and formerly of Glebe, Carndonagh.

Her remains will leave Liam Collins Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, (F93 E4FN) on Tuesday at 11am to repose in the Oratory at Connolly Homes, where people are invited to pay their respects from 11am to 9pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 6 at 10am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.


John McGeehan, Manchester / Upper Derries, Glenties

The death has occurred of John McGeehan, Manchester and Upper Derries, Glenties. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Mamie.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, daughter Danielle, son-in-law Charlie and grandchildren Amaya and Alfie, his brother Patsy, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Shovlin's Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, on Thursday, October 5 from 6pm to 8pm. Removal from Shovlin's Funeral Home on Friday, October 6 at 10.15am to St.Connell's Church, Glenties for Requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Una Burke, Curramore, Kiltoom, Roscommon / Carrick

The death has occurred of Una Burke, Curramore, Kiltoom, Roscommon and Carrick. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the tender and loving care of the management and staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Athlone.

Predeceased by her sister, Lorna Martin.

Sadly missed by her loving sisters Nollaig, Peggy and Maura, brother Sean, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many good friends.

Reposing at St Brigid's Funeral Home, Brideswell (N37 EK88), on Tuesday, October 3 from 5pm with removal at 6.45pm to the Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom arriving at 7.30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, October 4 at 11am with burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live at: www.churchservices.tv/kiltoom

John McDermott, Rathgar, Dublin / Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of John McDermott, Rathgar, Dublin and Ballyshannon.

He passed away peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Mary (Feely) and loving father of Johnny, Martha and Sarah. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, Martha’s husband Patrick, Sarah’s partner Sam, sister Laura, sisters-in-law Martha and Anne, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Removal on Tuesday from the Larry Massey Funeral Home, 100 Terenure Road North to St. Joseph’s Church, Terenure, arriving at 9.45am for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Mount Venus Cemetery, Rathfarnham.

Colman O'Callaghan, Springfield, Bundoran Road, Sligo / Kildare / Buncrana

The death has occurred of Colman O'Callaghan, Springfield, Bundoran Road, Sligo Town, Celbridge, Kildare and Buncrana.

Dearly loved husband of Geraldine and father of Anne (Midleton), Dermot (Dublin) and Ian (Sligo). Predeceased by his brother Joseph and sister Pauline Reilly.

Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, sister Gabrielle Fleming (Clones), son-in-law Colm Stack, daughter-in-law Astou N’diaye, grandchildren, Emma, Laura and Ayana, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98) from 5.30pm to 7pm on Tuesday, October 3. Mass of the resurrection at 11.30am on Wednesday, October 4, in Saint Colmcille’s Church, Rathcormac, Co Sligo.

Don Porter, St Columba’s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Don Porter, St Columba’s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford and formerly of 316 Coneyburrow Road, Lifford.

Dearly loved son of the late Frances and Robert (Alla) Porter and much-loved brother of Betty, Brian, Emily, Eileen and the late Terry, Ann, Kevin, Margo and Sheila.

Reposing at his home from Monday, October 2, from 4.30pm.

Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, October 4, at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and family circle. Family time please from 10pm to 11am.

John (Jackie) McNelis, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Teelin

The death has occurred of John (Jackie) McNelis, Rathfarnham, Dublin and Teelin. He passed away peacefully after a short illness, at St James' Hospital.

Beloved husband of Angela and loving father of Jimmy, Michael and Fiona. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren Katie, Hannah, Kieran and Kieva, brothers Vincent and Bobby, daughters in-law Suzanne and Aey, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

John will be reposing at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, the Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham on Tuesday evening, October 3 from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning, October 4 to the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange arriving for 11.30am Mass, followed by cremation service in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's' Cross at 1.30pm.
